FORUM Promosi yang digagas KJRI Guangzhou bekerja sama dengan Bank Indonesia, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangdong Sub-council (CCPIT Guangdong), dan UOB China yang bertema Re-Accessing Indonesia’s Trade and Investment through Local Currency Settlement (LCS) telah sukses diselenggarakan dengan metode hibrida. Jumlah total keseluruhan peserta mencapai 200 orang, dengan jumlah peserta luring sebanyak 50 orang dan sisanya bergabung melalui platform webinar (26/12).
Acara dibuka Vice President CCPIT Guangdong Fan Xinlin dan President & CEO UOB China Peter Foo Moo-Tan. Forum ini menghadirkan pembicara utama Duta Besar Republik Indonesia untuk Republik Rakyat Tiongkok dan Mongolia Djauhari Oratmangun dan Deputi Gubernur Senior Bank Indonesia Destry Damayanti.
Selain itu, dalam forum ini, juga disajikan paparan dari beberapa pembicara pakar, antara lain Deputi Perencanaan Investasi Kementerian Investasi/BKPM Nurul Ichwan, Direktur Eksekutif Pengembangan Pasar Keuangan Donny Hutabarat, dan Alternate Country CEO/Head of Global Markets UOB China Mark Yang.
Dalam pidatonya, Duta Besar Djauhari Oratmangun menyambut baik kesepakatan LCS yang diimplementasikan pada September ini. Berkat LCS, pelaku bisnis dapat menikmati biaya transaksi yang lebih rendah dan memiliki opsi untuk pembiayaan perdagangan serta investasi langsung dalam mata uang lokal.
Ia pun menyampaikan apresiasinya atas minat perusahaan-perusahaan Tiongkok, seperti Huawei dan Wuling, yang turut berinvestasi di Indonesia.
“Sejak Republik Indonesia dan Republik Rakyat Tiongkok (RRT) menjadi mitra strategis komprehensif pada 2 Oktober 2013, kedua negara ini telah melahirkan kerja sama-kerja sama hebat di berbagai bidang, termasuk perdagangan, investasi, dan kesehatan. Sebagai ekonomi terbesar di Asia Tenggara dan diproyeksikan menjadi ekonomi terbesar ke-4 global pada 2050, Indonesia membuka pintu selebar-lebarnya bagi investor mancanegara, tak terkecuali Tiongkok, untuk menjadi bagian dari pertumbuhan yang dahsyat ini,” katanya.
Dilansir dari situs Kementerian Luar Negeri, Deputi Gubernur Senior Bank Indonesia Destry Damayanti mengatakan bahwa Tiongkok merupakan negara kedua terbesar diukur dari nilai investasi asing langsung/foreign direct investment (FDI) di Indonesia. Perjanjian LCS dengan Tiongkok pun telah menunjukkan perkembangan yang menjanjikan, dengan rata-rata transaksi bulanan mencapai USD15 juta per bulan, dalam 3 bulan terakhir.
“Kami optimis transaksi LCS akan terus meningkat sejalan dengan peningkatan aktivitas perdagangan dan investasi. Berbagai quick win telah kami siapkan untuk mempromosikan LCS, termasuk bantuan teknis bagi eksportir maupun importir, untuk melakukan transaksi LCS riil dari hulu ke hilir sehingga kemudahan yang ditawarkan LCS akan berdampak positif pada penyerapan FDI di Indonesia,” ujarnya.
Sementara itu, Han Ding, Chief Financial Officer Huawei Indonesia, dalam presentasi kisah suksesnya di Indonesia menyatakan dukungan Huawei terhadap perubahan-perubahan positif yang diinisiasi pemerintah untuk membenahi dan meningkatkan iklim investasi di Indonesia.
“Berkarya lebih dari 21 tahun di Indonesia, Huawei mengapresiasi iktikad baik pemerintah Indonesia yang terus-menerus memperhatikan kebutuhan investor mancanegara.
