BADAN Pusat Statistik (BPS) memaparkan data surplus neraca perdagangan Indonesia pada Oktober 2021 mencapai 5,73 miliar dolar AS. Itu lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan sebelumnya sebesar 4,37 miliar dolar AS.

Bank Indonesia memandang surplus neraca perdagangan tersebut berkontribusi positif dalam menjaga ketahanan eksternal perekonomian Indonesia. Ke depan, Bank Indonesia terus memperkuat sinergi kebijakan dengan pemerintah dan otoritas terkait untuk mendukung pemulihan ekonomi.

Surplus neraca perdagangan Oktober 2021 dipengaruhi surplus neraca perdagangan nonmigas yang meningkat. Pada Oktober 2021, surplus neraca perdagangan nonmigas sebesar 6,61 miliar dolar AS, lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan surplus September 2021 sebesar 5,31 miliar dolar AS. Selain itu, ekspor nonmigas pada Oktober 2021 tercatat sebesar 21,00 miliar dolar AS, meningkat jika dibandingkan dengan capaian pada bulan sebelumnya sebesar 19,67 miliar dolar AS.

Sementara itu, ekspor komoditas berbasis sumber daya alam, seperti bahan bakar mineral, termasuk batu bara dan CPO, serta produk manufaktur, seperti besi dan baja, tercatat meningkat. Ditinjau dari negara tujuan, ekspor nonmigas ke Tiongkok, Amerika Serikat, dan Jepang tetap tinggi seiring dengan pemulihan permintaan global.
