PRESIDEN Joko Widodo (Jokowi) secara resmi membuka Muktamar ke-34 NU di Pondok Pesantren Darussa’adah, Lampung, Rabu (22/12).
Untuk membagi konsentrasi massa, pembukaan juga disaksikan para muktamirin dan muhibbin dari 3 tempat, yakni UIN Raden Intan Lampung, Universitas Lampung, dan Universitas Malahayati. Pembukaan muktamar juga ditayangkan di kanal YouTube dan Facebook TVNU.
Jokowi menyampaikan ucapan terima kasih untuk NU atas kontribusinya kepada bangsa ini. Ia juga mengapresiasi penerapan protokol kesehatan yang ketat dalam pelaksanaan muktamar.
Dalam sambutannya, Presiden menyinggung soal ekonomi umat.
“Pemerataan bukan suatu hal yang gampang dilakukan. Akan tetapi, saya melihat kekuatan NU sekarang anak muda yang pintar-pintar, santri yang pintar-pintar. Apabila ini menjadi kekuatan lokomotif, bisa menarik gerbong-gerbong untuk menyejahterakan rakyat,” ucapnya.
Dia melanjutkan, jika NU siap, Presiden menyiapkan konsensi, baik digunakan untuk lahan pertanian maupun minerba. Tak hanya itu, Presiden menekankan agar kita semua siap dengan kemajuan teknologi.
“Sekali lagi terima kasih yang sebesar-besarnya (kepada NU). NU yang terus mengawal kebangsaan, mengawal toleransi, mengawal kebhinekaan, mengawal pancasila, dan NKRI. Dengan itu, kita bisa menjaga dan merawat bangsa yang kita cintai,” tutupnya.
Turut hadir pada pembukaan Muktamar ke-34 NU, yakni Wakil Presiden RI Ma’ruf Amin, Menteri Sekretaris Negara Pratikno, Menteri Agama Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, dan Gubernur Lampung Arinal Djunaidi. (RLS/J1)
