Menparekraf Apresiasi Desa Wisata Sesaot Usung Konsep Pariwisata Berbasis Masyarakat

MENTERI Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif/Kepala Badan Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif (Menparekraf/Baparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno mengapresiasi Desa Wisata Sesaot yang masuk ke 50 besar Anugerah Desa Wisata Indonesia (ADWI) 2021 dan mengusung konsep pariwisata berbasis masyarakat (community based tourism).

Menparekraf saat visitasi 50 desa wisata terbaik ADWI 2021 di Desa Sesaot, Kecamatan Narmada, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, Nusa Tenggara Barat, Rabu (3/11), mengatakan desa wisata berbasis komunitas sejenis ini bisa menjadi jawaban atas tantangan wisata berkelanjutan, apalagi jika kapasitas sumber daya manusia dan ekonomi masyarakat lokal di sekitar desa wisata yang terlibat di dalamnya juga ikut ditingkatkan.

“Masyarakat Desa Wisata Sesaot yang sadar wisata, kreatif, dan inovatif akan menjadi ujung tombak dari pengembangan desa wisata yang sesuai dengan konsep community based tourism,” katanya.

Desa ini berjarak 40,5 kilometer dari Bandar Udara Internasional Lombok Zainuddin Abdul Madjid atau sekitar 1 jam 15 menit perjalanan. Desa Sesaot merupakan bagian dari jalur geowisata. Tempat tersebut berkaitan erat dengan pembuatan jalur pendakian Sasak Kuno menuju Gunung Rinjani. Desa ini tersusun oleh batuan gunung api dari kompleks Gunung Punikan dan Gunung Rinjani yang kaya akan potensi alam, salah satunya Wisata Pusat Rekreasi Masyarakat (Purekmas).

Desa Wisata Purekmas Sesaot sudah mengantongi sertifikat CHSE karena telah memenuhi standar protokol kesehatan yang berbasis Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environment (CHSE). Selain Wisata Alam Pusat Rekreasi Masyarakat, Desa Wisata Sesaot juga memiliki potensi wisata lain, seperti Taman Miring, Camping Ground Vetong Hill, dan Bukit Khesari. Sementara itu, jauh di dalam kawasan hutan Sesaot, terdapat sejumlah air terjun, di antaranya Air Terjun Tibu Sendalem, Air Terjun Tembiras, dan Air Terjun Tibu Goa.

Untuk kuliner, terdapat sate bulayak yang menjadi salah satu makanan khas Sasak di Pulau Lombok yang begitu spesial bagi pencinta kuliner.

Menparekraf pun jajal membuat sate berbahan daging atau jeroan sapi yang dilumuri bumbu khas Lombok. Sebenarnya sate bulayak tak jauh beda dengan sate pada umumnya. Namun, perbedaannya terdapat pada kekhasan bumbu yang menggoda dan mengeluarkan bau sedap yang mengundang selera makan yang tinggi.

Dari sektor kriya, Desa Wisata Sesaot memiliki produk anyaman rotan yang dibuat masyarakat setempat berbentuk alat-alat pelengkap rumah tangga, seperti keranjang, tas kecil, tatakan gelas, dan tempat tisu. Adapun produk anyaman tali, seperti tali gantung untuk pot bunga, tas-tas kecil, dan gelang-gelang dari rajutan.
