KONSULAT Jenderal (Konjen) RI di Perth Listiana Operananta mengatakan perlunya penataan ulang paradigma industri yang telah berlangsung hingga saat ini. Adanya perkembangan industri dalam penciptaan energi terbarukan yang identik dengan limbah industri dapat dikombinasikan dengan upaya pelestarian lingkungan.

Hal tersebut disampaikannya saat membuka acara Workshop Peluang Investasi Energi Terbarukan dan Ekonomi Sirkular di Bali, Senin (22/11), secara virtual.

“Selama ini kita berpandangan bahwa industri dan limbah cenderung bertentangan dengan upaya untuk melestarikan lingkungan. Saat ini, kita perlu menata ulang paradigma karena upaya menciptakan energi terbarukan dapat dikombinasikan dengan pelestarian lingkungan, termasuk melalui pengelolaan sampah dan waste to energy yang kini semakin relevan di berbagai daerah di Indonesia, Provinsi Bali,” ujarnya melalui keterangan resmi, Selasa (23/11).

Lokakarya virtual ini diikuti perwakilan Pemerintah Provinsi dan Kabupaten/Kota di Bali serta dunia usaha yang diwakili Corinthian Energy Resources. Lokakarya ini berfokus pada kebutuhan untuk menangani pengelolaan sampah dan lonjakan permintaan listrik untuk mendukung pembukaan kembali Bali sebagai tujuan wisata setelah dua tahun pembatasan perjalanan akibat pandemi.

Lebih lanjut, Perwakilan RI di luar negeri, termasuk di Perth, Australia Barat, telah menerima pertanyaan dari berbagai calon investor dan pelaku usaha di sektor energi terbarukan.

​Melalui lokakarya ini, diharapkan gagasan-gagasan yang dicetuskan sektor swasta dapat mencapai lingkaran kebijakan untuk ditimbang lebih lanjut.

Di lain sisi, lewat diskusi ini, pemerintah daerah dan masyarakat dapat menginformasikan lebih lanjut kepada sektor swasta tentang bagaimana kerangka kerja sama yang sesuai dapat dipertimbangkan untuk ditindaklanjuti.​ (J1)
