Pandemi covid-19 membawa badai besar yang mengguncang bisnis maskapai penerbangan di seluruh dunia. Pendapatan perusahaan penerbangan anjlok drastis akibat okupansi penumpang menurun tajam. Bagaimana kondisi perusahaan penerbangan terkini di Tanah Air? Wartawan  jurnal-investigasi.com, Riana Septiyani,  mewawancarai Corporate Communications Strategic of Lion Air, Danang Mandala Prihantoro, pada Kamis (22/10) untuk mengungkap kondisi maskapai Lion Air di tengah badai covid-19 yang masih berlangsung hingga kini.

Pandemi covid-19 berimbas besar terhadap bisnis maskapai penerbangan, tidak terkecuali maskapai di dalam negeri. Bagaimana cara manajemen Lion Air menjalankan perusahaan agar bisa tetap bertahan di masa pandemi covid-19 ini?

Upaya Lion Air Group adalah selalu menganalisis pasar domestik dan internasional, serta memantau sesuai perkembangan terkini.

Berapa besar okupansi penumpang Lion Air saat ini dan ketika awal pandemi covid-19 mulai melanda Indonesia?

Untuk jumlah penumpang selama pandemi, belum bisa diberikan keterangan secara detail. Namun, untuk jumlah penerbangan, sampai saat ini rata-rata 30%-40% penerbangan per hari dari total rata-rata 1.400-1.600 penerbangan.

Sebagian pesawat yang dioperasikan oleh maskapai dalam negeri ialah pesawat sewa. Bagaimana cara Lion Air untuk menutup biaya sewa tersebut di tengah pendapatan perusahaan yang anjlok akibat pandemi covid-19?

Lion Air telah bekerja sama dengan seluruh lessor (perusahaan penyewaan pesawat udara) yang menjadi mitra perusahaan untuk mencari jalan keluar (solusi) terbaik atas permasalahan yang dihadapi.

Pada proses pembicaraan, hampir semua lessor mendukung dan berkeinginan serta menyepakati untuk mencari solusi bersama sebagai langkah yang akan ditempuh atas permasalahan yang dihadapi. Namun, ada satu lessor, Goshawk Aviation Limited, yang berkehendak lain, yaitu menempuh melalui jalur hukum.

Di awal pandemi covid-19, Lion Air memutuskan akan memberlakukan seluruh lessor dengan adil dan setara untuk memastikan bahwa tidak ada perlakuan yang berbeda (preferential) antara satu lessor dan lessor lainnya. Lion Air terus memberlakukan seluruh lessor secara setara (adil) dalam negosiasi dan terus berkomitmen untuk menemukan solusi yang adil, termasuk dengan Goshawk.

Adapun rute-rute yang dibuka selama masa waspada pandemi ini yang dioperasikan Lion Air, yakni Medan-Bandung, Pekanbaru-Bandung, Palembang-Bandung, Denpasar-Bandung, Balikpapan-Bandung, Makassar-Bandung, dan Banjarmasin-Bandung. Sementara itu, rute Makassar-Tana Toraja dan Makassar-Palu dioperasikan Wings Air. (J2)
