BANJIR yang berdampak kepada 1.061 KK di wilayah Kabupaten Probolinggo, Provinsi Jawa Timur, telah surut. Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) setempat menyebutkan genangan berakhir pada Jumat pagi (4/3) pukul 06.00 WIB.
Peristiwa tersebut berdampak di 2 kecamatan, yaitu Tongas dan Dringu. Adapun 3 desa yang ada di kecamatan tersebut, yaitu Tambakrejo (Tongas), Dringu dan, Kedung Dalem (Dringu). Meskipun telah surut, prakiraan cuaca pada Jumat (4/3) dan Sabtu (5/3) di wilayah Tonggas masih berpeluang hujan ringan hingga petir. Sementara itu, di Kecamatan Dringu, prakiraan cuaca hujan ringan hingga petir dan pada Sabtu (5/3) cerah berawan.
Peristiwa yang berlangsung pada Kamis malam (3/3) pukul 19.30 WIB terjadi setelah hujan lebat turun sehingga debit air sungai meluap. Luapan air sungai ini menggenangi 1.061 unit rumah warga.
“Dalam menindaklanjuti insiden ini, petugas BPBD, TNI, Polri, pramuka, dan warga bergotong royong untuk melakukan patroli di wilayah terdampak,” ujar Plt Kepala Pusat Data, Informasi, dan Komunikasi Kebencanaan Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB) Abdul Muhari.
Pada kajian inaRISK, sebanyak 21 kecamatan di Kabupaten Probolinggo teridentifikasi sebagai wilayah berpotensi bahaya banjir dengan kategori sedang hingga tinggi. Kecamatan Tonggas dan Dringgu yang berdekatan dengan wilayah perairan termasuk pada wilayah dengan potensi tersebut.
Dalam menghadapi potensi bahaya hidrometeorologi seperti banjir, BNPB mengimbau pemerintah daerah dan warga untuk tetap waspada dan siap siaga.
“BPBD diharapkan untuk terus melakukan sosialisasi kepada warga terkait dengan upaya pencegahan atau mitigasi dalam menghadapi bahaya banjir, seperti penyiapan tas siaga bencana, cara mematikan jaringan listrik rumah jika terjadi banjir, dan penyimpanan dokumen penting keluarga di tempat yang aman dari banjir,” imbaunya.
